Oviedo FL Bee Removal Services

Services Offered By The Bee Guy

There are many reasons why killing the bees is not the best choice. For example, hiring a pest control company will result in only the living bees being killed. Leaving behind the entire contents of the nest, Including all of the wax, Honey, unborn bees, and not to mention all the dead bees. Doing this could lead to a foul smell and potentially structural damage. Also, leaving behind the contents will attract other bee colonies in the future as well.

I am registered beekeeper with the state of Florida, approved by the state to perform live Oviedo FL bee removal and relocations. As a beekeeper, we look at bee removal services from a completely different perspective than a pest control company does. We offer no-kill bee removal. We frequently donate these colonies to local beekeepers. Call to be added to the waiting list.

Once removed we will relocate the bees to a rehabilitation yard, keeping a close eye on them and give them whatever resources are necessary to survive the process. If the bees survive the first winter, they will go out into a regular bee yard and provide pollination services as well as production of honey. Unfortunately, they don’t always survive.

Service Description

We do offer field trips here at Black Hammock Bee Farms! We always have a BUZZ-tastic time!! We start with a fascinating presentation using a demonstration hive. Dennis The Bee Guy will go through it frame by frame teaching all about the bees and the hive and how important they are to the world. We bring out all the tools, smoker, bee suits (we even have kid size bee suits) and teach and show how those work. We have a Q & A time afterwards where you can ask Dennis The Bee Guy any questions you have! After that we have a honey tasting! You will get to taste all different types of honey and we go over the different types of flowers that were pollinated to make the honey and the time of year the plant was blooming! Once we are finished we leave the classroom to view the Apiary (Bee Farm) from a distance. Dennis The Bee Guy will talk about the bee yard, how the hives are made and general info about the bees they are seeing. We will not open boxes but we will observe them close by, watching the bees flying in and out and see how a working bee farm looks. We will take a class photo with the apiary behind the class then we move to the photo op spot where MORE photos can be taken! You can wear the official beekeeping suits and hold a smoker too! We have lots of fun props for fantastic photos! After that you can head to the farm store to see what honeycomb, pollen and beeswax looks like!
